Details:

Join us for "Women in Technology Panel Discussion" Sunday, March 5, 2-3:30 p.m. at the Advanced Learning Library, 711 W. 2nd St.

Information technology is one of the fastest-growing U.S. industries, and technical innovation is likely to continue to play a role across a variety of industries in the years to come. Did you know that despite the growing importance of this field, women currently only hold about 26.7% of jobs in this industry?

In this educational panel discussion, we are joined by a group of women in the Wichita community working in these fields who serve as role models for future tech leaders. They will share their own personal experiences working in technology jobs, why it’s so important to have increased representation of women in the field, and what the new generation of women can bring to this exciting and ever-changing industry. The panel will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Moderator: Amanda Duncan (Workforce Alliance)

Panelists: Christina Eck (Pray Woodman Elementary), Ingrid Green (Drone 4 Girls), Julie Winegeart (Cricut), Tracy Hoover (Groover Labs)
