Social Media Day 2022 Recap

Our event venue was humming on Thursday, June 30, from early in the morning until close. The team from Digital Wichita and Social Media Examiner came together to host Social Media day Wichita 2022. This is our second time hosting this spirited and enthusiastic group of social media experts and influencers. Sunflower Espresso set up in our parking lot, serving fresh, handcrafting coffees during the morning sessions. Public from Brickyard delivered over 150 boxed lunches during the lunch hour.

This year’s theme focused on personal branding, and included panelists Dr. Sheree Utash, president of WSU Tech; Peter Najera, president of United Way of the Plains; and Louis Rodriguez, president of Keycentrix.

Other speakers included Julie Riley from Streamyard; Marisa VanSkiver, digital marketing strategist; Jen Cole, social media manager at Greteman Group; Mandy McEwen, founder of award-winning agency Mod Girl Marketing; Phil Mershon, director of experience for Social Media Examiner; and Brie Anderson, founder of Beast Analytics.

The event was hosted by WSU Tech’s executive director of strategic communications Andy McFayden, whose constantly-changing wardrobe entertained the audience of more than 150 throughout the day.

We were thrilled to host Social Media Day Wichita 2022 this year, and we hope they’ll return again next year!
