NXTUS Launches NXTCONNECT Series
NXTUS, Inc., is launching and will host NXTCONNECT at Groover Labs on the last Friday of each month, beginning at 11 a.m. on January 29, 2021. The program is a new series dedicated to helping provide information and connections for founders to help grow their businesses. Due to current conditions related to Covid-19, the first NXTCONNECT event will be virtual.
Creative Art and Fabrication Workshops
We need your help to fill our walls and spaces with examples of our combined creative energy. Groover Labs will be hosting a series of workshops this spring and summer where people can explore a variety of creative art and fabrication techniques. Participants will gain access to the extensive set of fabrication tools in our brand new makerspace. Sundance Satellite Discount for Friends of Groover Labs
We announced several weeks ago that Groover Labs would be a satellite screen for the 2021 Sundance Film Festival. Due to concerns about the coronavirus, the screenings will now take place at Starlite Drive-in.
We're Expanding Our Office Hours (Again and Again)
Jason Toevs and Brian Weins will join Foreman Law and NXTUS from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, January 15, for Groover Labs office hours. We started these free, informal meetings last year to make it easier for founders and startups to find and meet with local organizations and seasoned entrepreneurs as part of our mission to help strengthen Wichita’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Unified eSports Association Distributes $26,500 in Scholarships
Congratulations to Ramsey Jamoul and his team at Unified eSports Association. They completed their inaugural fall 2020 season, and they distributed more than $26,500 in scholarships to Unified Collegiate Esports Association teams who placed in the top four for each game.

New Addition to Monthly Office Hours: NXTUS
We started office hours to work with groups who want to support founders and startups. Foreman Law began hosting hours from 9 -12 on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. We are pleased to announce NXTUS, an organization that helps launch and grow businesses, will hold office hours at the same time.

Welcome to our new community associate Amy Huser. She is a local artist with a background in customer service and a passion for building community. With an MFA in painting, Amy has taught foundation art and design courses at Wichita State University. She also has gallery coordinating experience.

Groover Labs to be Satellite Screen for 2021 Sundance Film Festival
The Sundance Film Festival will take place in Park City, Utah and New York, and Ohio, and Tennessee, and Kansas, and California, and Florida. The festival, which runs from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3, is rolling out in numerous cities across the country as the gathering goes virtual because of Covid-19.

Foreman Law will host office hours at Groover Labs on 12/4 from 9-12. The attorneys at Foreman Law have years of experience working with startups and advising startups at all life cycle stages concerning legal and practical considerations related to formation, operation, and liquidity events.

December Hours
We will be closed on Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve), Friday, December 25 (Christmas), and Friday January 1. We will close at noon on Thursday, December 31. As a reminder, dedicated desk and private office members have 24/7 access to the building.
