ACCEL-KS Founder Video: Go AcademiX

The Kansas Department of Commerce and Groover Labs partnered to bring the Accelerating Concept to Commercialization in Kansas, or ACCEL-KS, to life, reaching out across the state to find and fund 25 projects, provide them with startup ecosystem support, and help bring their products to early-stage commercialization.

Near the end of the grant period, we surveyed the recipients. Based on their responses, we selected six projects that had made the most progress, and we worked with Malibu Creative to produce videos that highlight their work through ACCEL-KS.

Over the next six weeks, we’re going to share each video, along with some brief info about the project.

Here is GO ACADEMIX!

Jocelyn Powell is the sort of founder who finds an industry problem and innovates from there, creating a better, more efficient way forward. And that’s exactly what she’s done with GO ACADEMIX.

Allied Health training programs, which train CNAs, CMAs, phlebotomists, and licensed nurses, usually juggle disconnected tools for enrollment, learning management, and certification tracking.

As an all-in-one platform, Go ACADEMIX solves that and also includes scheduling and compliance.

ACCEL-KS allowed Jocelyn to hire a developer to rebuild her prototype into secure, working software. Groover Labs gave her a community network of peers and mentors.

Up next week: Grace Heritage Farms.
